The Ash Blondey Collection (THE ABC) was founded by Ashley McCormick, also known as Ashblondey, born February 4, 1996. My passion and love for hair began at a very young age. I love the way it makes me feel when done, just right. I always wanted the new trendy hairstyle out, no matter the cost, I had to have it. From ages 4 to 11, I wore braids done by local African shops in town. By middle school, I started doing my own hair and wearing what was “high-quality hair” to all of us at the time, from local beauty supply stores. I reached high school and got introduced to virgin hair. Since then, hair extensions have flourished!

 

  As time went on, I became more interested in hair extensions. In 2014, in my freshman year of college, I knew I wanted to start my own hair company, so I began my research. First, I wanted to find great quality hair that wasn’t processed. I knew it had to be pure natural hair because I personally knew how it felt to be disappointed after spending hundreds of dollars on hair that just wasn’t what you thought it would be. The hair would mat up, get tangled, shed, and had no longevity. That is one of the main reasons I started my own hair business to give Queens all around, hair that you can invest in, as it lasts up to two years or longer with proper maintenance. Hair that makes you feel confident and beautiful.

 

  Four years later, in the fall of 2018, I launched my very first hair business with a partner. After pre-launching our business, things weren’t functioning and operating in a way that we both wanted them to, so my partner and I took the initiative and agreed it was best to go our separate ways. That was a dark period for me. I felt confused about what steps I would consider moving forward. But, I gave it all to God, my savior. It was through that alone, prayers, and fasting is how The ABC came about. Always Believe Christ. 

 

  Even though from 2018 to 2020, I went through a lot of different emotions, trials, and tribulations, it was on April 2, 2020, with pride and faith, I could finally say I successfully launched my own business. Now I am back to being myself ready to take on the world and give all you beautiful Queens of all races and ages great quality hair. 

 

The ABC is only the beginning of my great journey with love, Ashblondey.
